About Kevin O'Hare

Fire Chief Kevin O’Hare has more than 24 years of fire service experience and currently leads the Warrenville Fire Protection District. Throughout his career, he has served in numerous operational, training, and leadership roles, including firefighter, lieutenant, training and safety officer, deputy chief, and fire chief.

Chief O’Hare is an Illinois-certified Chief Fire Officer and Instructor III and holds Chief Fire Officer and Chief Training Officer credentials from the Center for Public Safety Excellence. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety Management from Southern Illinois University and an associate degree in Fire Science from the College of DuPage.

As Vice President of the Illinois Society of Fire Service Instructors, Chief O’Hare is passionate about developing fire service leaders, strengthening instructor excellence, and helping others grow through education and mentorship.
